Hon Minister of Justice, Kaycee Madu

The appointment of Kaycee Madu as the first black man to occupy ministerial post at that level in Canadian history has increased the sensitivity to racial concern in the world. The Alberta’s premier described the appointment “as a powerful statement at a time of increasing sensitivity to racial prejudice. Mr Kaycee Madu while reacting to the congratulatory message, expressed his thanks to the members and leadership of the Mbaise Policy Roundtable for their best wishes and prayers noting that he is filled with joy that a noble son of Mbaise has brought much happiness, excitement and hope to the black race. “Mbaise is a great land with great people and throughout history, the Mbaise nation has played critical roles in shaping Nigeria”.  Hon. The first black Justice Minister in Canada added that he has been receiving calls and congratulatory messages from all over the world and has spoken to several African Heads of States including the Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari, Vice President Osibanjo, several governors and deputy governor from Nigeria. Commenting on the implication of his appointment and his wish for Nigeria and our people, Minister Kaycee said: “I have always said my story could only have been possible in my province of Alberta. I love my home country, Nigeria, but there is no question that I look forward to a day when my fellow countrymen and women in that country can achieve their God-given potential, regardless of the part of the country they come from and regardless of who their parents are”.

The Media coordinator of Mbaise Policy Roundtable (MPR) Inc. Mr.  Casca Ohanele  observed that Minister Kaycee’s appointment will no doubt motivate other sons and daughters of Mbaise to think more of what they can do to uplift Mbaise nation into a first class community in a third world country by making impact and achieving greatness wherever they are in the world. He noted that MPR is the premier pre-eminent Mbaise Public Policy and Business Advisory Council in the World, focused entirely on the development of Mbaise and Imo State, through the facilitation of financial and other resources, Private Investments and Private Public Partnerships.
